Cathy Ortiz 16 died at Permian General Hospital after a crash south of Andrews on SH 383 at 3 40 p m Thursday. Six others were injured with Mrs Morris E Pierce 24 in critical condition and her two year old son Charles listed as guarded. Driver Charles D Harkness 17 and others were in satisfactory condition. Services for Miss Ortiz were pending at Singleton Funeral Home. She was from Denver City and a student at Andrews High School. Survivors include her parents Jose Louis Sanchez and Maria Sanchez, a brother Joe Henry and grandmother Maria Rodriguez.
