Market Rallies Sharply After Rumor Fuelled Gains
Stocks surged on Thursday lifting the Dow to a four-year one day high amid rumors of Nixon easing dividend rules and Connally returning as Treasury head. The Dow closed up strongly at 324.44 points, with the NYSE composite and NASDAQ also rising and heavy volume late in the session.
