Government bond prices fell sharply while corporate issues showed mixed results in active trading. Treasury bonds traded lower with many declines around 1 32 or 2 32, 23 of 41 issues down and 18 unchanged. Rail and industrials rose modestly on the NYSE, utilities mostly fell. volume was $11.51 million. Major movers included Consolidated Edison 4s of 1990 at 101, Detroit Edison 3s of 1980 at 85 ¾, Marathon Oil 4s of 1987 at 98 44.
