Special Legislative Correspondence from Boston reports a 25 to 12 Senate vote to third read the subway bill with one pair. If Governor vetoes without referendum, 13 on record would back him, while 26 supporters would need the President to pass. Compromise with the Governor appears likely to move the measure forward.
