Family Reunion and Church Budgeted Picnic Highlights
A large family reunion gathered Saturday and Sunday June 7 8 with forty to fifty members from Ernest Merrell's lines. The event featured a chicken meal at Mr and Mrs Hatch home, tape recordings of family stories, and a Sunday School program led by Dale Nelson and Briscoe with singing by a local hobby group. Father’s Day observances included visits with Mr and Mrs Ralph Richardson and Mr and Mrs Sterling Clouse in Safford at Ft Thomas and Cactus Thorn supplied notes.

Snow Lake Dedication Set for June in New Mexico
Snow Lake near Reserve in the Gila National Forest will have a dedication ceremony on June 29 1968 at 10 30 am. The event honors the completed recreational lake funded by sportsmen through bonds and Federal Aid and stocked with 6475 catchable rainbow trout and 2950 smaller fingerlings. Attendees include Gov David TY Cargo and officials from state and federal agencies. A steak dinner follows the ceremony.
