Representative to Visit Thursday on Social Security Aid
William F. Brown of the Las Cruces Social Security Office will attend the Public Welfare Department Thursday June 26 from 8 30 to 11 a.m. to discuss social security problems and aid residents with claims. No appointment needed but special appointments may be arranged by writing the Las Cruces office. Protest deadlines and details involve a water irrigation grant for land in Section 34 Township 27 South Range 18 West New Mexico P M. The State Engineer must receive protests within days after publication. First June last July.

Notice of Ground Water Permit Applications Playas Basin
On June 10 1969 Andy Peter son filed permit applications with the State Engineer to appropriate 960 acre feet per year of shallow groundwater from the Playas Valley Underground Water Basin by drilling two wells about 1000 feet deep to irrigate 320 acres. Application PL-9865 PL-966 lists a well site in West part N% Section 26 Township 27 South Range 18 West NM P.M. for irrigation of 1600 acres of land per Part II’s description.
