In Walgo County New Mexico the probate court assigns Clarence P Russell as administrator of the David M Phillips estate for case 146. Creditors with claims must present them by law deadlines. Notice dated May 15 and published May 1 to June 9. dates indicate 1939.
V Carley Wallace formerly W Carley of Lordsburg New Mexico filed homestead application number for NEYNE% Sec 8 and other parcels in Township 28 N Range N M Meridian with intent to prove up the claim. Willard E Holt United States Commissioner in Lordsburg will hear the case on July 21 1939 with witnesses Botzko Dave Williams A G Carley and Dave Williams listed. Public notice appears in the Interior Department Land Office records with publication dates June 9 16 23 30 and July 7.
Lordsburg New Mexico village trustees will be paid 2.50 dollars monthly and the mayor 5.00 dollars per month for their services. Payments come from the village general fund. The measure was passed adopted and approved on a June Sunday in 1939, with E J Short as mayor and E M Fisher Jr as clerk.
All 4-H contests for 1999 except the State Style Revue will be judged during the State Fair in Albuquerque from September 24 to October 1.
