Hidalgo County funds aid and plans for local health care
Hidalgo County officials discuss subsidies for a clinic run by Lendhardt, noting a net county cost after a $10,000 grant. Lendhardt reports averaging 18 patients daily four days a week in Lordsburg and offers to split time with a second provider. The county also references a $30,000 primary care grant with a deadline, a potential federal grant with Mimbres Memorial Hospital, and a $10,000 emergency shelter grant. The Christian Home of Lordsburg, a nonprofit, is to contract to provide housing services.
