Broad Street Improvement Bids Open in Elyria Ohio
The city of Elyria invites sealed bids for labor and material to grade pave and drain East Bridge Street from Broad Street to the east bridge, with bids due July 15 1886 at noon. Bids may cover labor or material or both, each item priced separately, and must include full names and a bid guaranty. The council may reject any bid. Proposals also call for six bonds to fund Broad Street improvements with staggered maturities from one to six years at 5 percent interest. Bonds sold at par to highest bidder with premiums disclosed. Mayor P. H. Boynton and Clerk L. C. Kelsey oversee notices.
