Two Weekes at the Exposition and Chickamauga notes
A reflective piece on the 19th century exposition in Chicago praising its vast display of art and industry, with vivid contrasts between past and present transport and crafts. It recalls Sunday openings, luminous illumination nights, and the French fabrics exhibit, alongside observation of crowd behavior and a note on ephemera of the White City. It also includes a military passing summary of the Chickamauga battle, detailing the 21st Ohio and losses, plus assorted ads and transit notices.
