Radiative and advective freezes threaten Ohio vineyards

Grape growers in northern Ohio face recurring radiative frosts and a rare advective freeze. The April 25 event left temperatures at 28 degrees with windless conditions, risking primary buds on 65 acres of four-year vines and an estimated 300 tons of fruit.
