Bottomless trial returns to nightclub for Doda performance
Sacramento municipal court resumed the indecent exposure trial of two 22 year old dancers Susanne Haines and Sheila Brendenson and owner Leonard Glancy as they face charges. Judge Earl Warren Jr moved the trial to a nightclub to view topless entertainer Carol Doda in a bid to illustrate community standards. Doda performed a 17 minute act and a film while the jury observed. The defense and prosecution debated relevance of the act to the case, with the judge noting the standard would apply statewide.
