Fern Storm Weathers Inland Across Texas Returns Heavy Rain
United Press International reports Tropical Storm Fern moved inland over Corpus Christi Texas with winds up to 59 mph and extensive rain. Palacio Texas saw over three inches in six hours while Corpus Christi neared three inches. San Antonio received over an inch and a half. Showers extended along the North Pacific coast with storms in the Mississippi Valley and Great Lakes. Severe thunderstorm warnings were issued for parts of Illinois Missouri Kentucky and Indiana. Temperatures ranged from 44 in Grand Forks North Dakota to 96 in Blythe California.
