Native Daughters of the Golden West La Purisima Parlor held a program on Our Flag and California with Boy Scout Troop 103 led by James Begg and others. They performed the flag ceremony for California Admission Day and hosted Janet Begg. Officers and bazaar chairmen were installed and announced for the December 5 bazaar. A turkey dinner Oct 23 at Alpha Clubhouse marks sixth anniversary. meetings are biweekly.

Community Singles Club Forms Under Church Sponsorship

A interdenominational group for adults over 21 named the Singles Club is organized with Valley of the Flowers United Church and First United Methodist Church as sponsors. Advisors are Rev. Richard E. Harris and Rev. Robert Montgomery. Weekly Wednesday meetings are planned in members homes and membership remains open. Contact Lynn R. Clock or Jim Wallin for affiliation.
