Unions Agree to Postpone Rail Strike Deadline
Washington based mediators began efforts to avert a national rail strike as unions agreed to postpone the deadline until 12:01 a.m. Tuesday. Negotiators for railroads and four unions, representing about 500000 workers, planned talks at the Statler Hilton Hotel with federal mediators.
