Sermon Highlights Courageous Youth at Valley of Flowers UCC

On the first Sunday of the month the Valley of Flowers United Church of Christ holds communion at 10:00 a.m. The Rev. Richard E. Harris preaches A Young Man Who Had Courage, based on Jeremiah. Children hear a Jeremiah 13:23 story Can a Leopard Change His Spots. Various church activities and meetings follow including youth group, an information series on the UCC, nursery classes, and a Pennsylvanian transport meeting. AGet Acquainted Club meets Thursday. Volunteers are asked to help assemble New Testaments for distribution.

Methodist Schedule Announces Sermon and Activities

The Rev F A Ruder will preach God Knows Your Heart at First United Methodist Church. Service times are 9:00 and 11:00 with Sunday school for children to sixth grade and junior and senior high classes at 10:00 to 10:45. Youth groups meet Sunday evenings at 6, Methodist Men dine Monday at 6:30, Singles meet Tuesday at 7:30, and a Thursday 7:30 newcomers discussion in the Franklin Fireside Room. Chapel Choir rehearses 6:30 and Chancel Choir at 7:30 with openings for new voices.

Queen of Angels School Opens Next Week

Catechism classes start next Wednesday September tenth at 3 45 p m for Queen of Angels elementary students. Registration for students follows Sunday masses and Monday Tuesday morning hours. Parents must register all students before the opening class.
