Soviet Premiers to Attend Ho Chi Minh Funeral

Soviet Premier Kosygin departed Moscow for Hanoi to attend Ho Chi Minh’s funeral in Saigon. Chinese Premier Chou En Lai was already in Hanoi, with North Vietnam’s new regime expected to face protocol issues as Ho Chi Minh’s funeral was to be held Wednesday. The casket would be opened Saturday in the National Assembly building.

Lompoc Housing Authority Heads County Operations

Lompoc Felon Escapes During Court Arrival

Robert Wallace Amick, 31, from Lompoc, who was convicted earlier this year for parole violation and possession of a dangerous weapon, slipped from Santa Barbara Superior Court deputies and fled as other prisoners were brought in. He was last seen wearing bell bottom jeans and a red plaid shirt, with tattoos on both arms and a mustache.
