Agricultural properties large and small rush to secure preserve status before the November 30 deadline. The County Planning Commission approved four of five applications Wednesday and continued the fifth to November 10. The four approves total 710 acres including a Carpinteria Valley parcel under the 40 acre minimum and an avocado orchard.
