Supreme effort urged to restart Mideast peace talks

Soviet Izvestia Slams Khrushchev Memoirs as CIA Fraud

Calley at My Lai Scene Questioned by Defense and Witnesses

At Fort Benning the Calley court martial heard testimony over five days with 15 witnesses. Only one witness firmly placed Calley at the My Lai scene while others said they did not see him. CHP Killer Davis Sentenced to Die in Gas Chamber

Bobby Augusta Davis, 29, ex convict, is condemned to death for the April murders of four California highway patrolmen. A five man seven woman jury delivered the verdict after Davis shot the officers outside a Saugus coffee shop. Davis’ partner Jack Twinning, 35, shot himself when cornered in Newhall. Davis was arrested in a stolen camper truck. authorities cited prior market robbery in Houston and plans to kidnap Long Beach bankers’ wives.
