Suspect Named in Grand Theft At Alisal Ranch Case
Edward A. Duffy known as Louis Gunther and Phillip J. Tremaine faced grand theft charges after allegedly stealing 2500 dollars from Alisal Ranch while employed as a bookkeeper. The arraignment, before Judge James Patillo, was postponed to November 25 for public defender representation. A couple who previously worked at Alisal Ranch and later Mammoth Lodge identified Duffy, who was listed as Tremaine at Mammoth Lodge.

Calvin Morris Warner 59 died Friday at Lompoc District Hospital. Funeral 11 a.m. Monday at McPeek Family Chapel with Bishop Lynn Rasmussen officiating. Interment at Lom poc Evergreen Cemetery. Born Sept 28 1910 in Safford Arizona, he lived in Lompoc 35 years and retired after 34 years with Johns Manville. Survived by widow Madge, two daughters Mary Ulm and Karen Coombes, siblings Kenneth Ben Charles Lorena Geraldine Sylvia, father P Warner, and five grandchildren.
