Sandra Johnson named Best Show artist at the Annual Fall Art Show by the Lompoc Valley Art Association. Johnson also won first in graphics for Portrait of Jaci. Judges from Solvang selected winners among 86 entries across five categories. The show runs through Sunday, Nov. 15, at the Lompoc Public Library Multi-Use Room.

Mass Rubella Immunization Set For December Sixth

County Names Five Mini Bike Permit Points
The county today designated five locations to obtain the private property permission forms allowing mini bike riders to use land. Forms available at Lompoc Valley Sport Cycles Dan's Cycle and Sport Center the Auto Club the Sheriff's Office and Motorcycle City. The form permits riding with property owner consent and releases the rider from financial responsibility for injuries. The measure follows a county law restricting private land use without permission and stems from efforts by Supervisor Francis H. Beattie to balance sport with compliance.
