The eight county health planning region faces dissolution on Jan 1 1972 with a proposed realignment placing San Luis Obispo Santa Barbara and Ventura together and Los Angeles Orange separately. Riverside would join San Diego Imperial in a new inland configuration. The May 1971 action had created Inyo Mono San Bernardino as a three county area effective Jan 1 1972.
