Haunted house party draws goblin guests
A Chi Phi Beta Sigma Phi gathering Saturday night at 1313 W Willow Ave featured a bat cave setup by Mrs LeMons and Mrs Watkins with Harvey the six foot scarecrow as the centerpiece. Guests arriving as costumed characters included the Red Baron and his mechanic, Big Chief Sitting Bull, hippies en route to San Francisco, Jolly Green Giant and carrot from the valley, and Dracula with a little old witch. Entertainment included a carrot game, dancing, and midnight ham sandwiches and coffee.

More than 100 members and guests attended the Oriential Splendor themed Es cort Night at Village Country Club in Lompoc. Wil liam H Boone introduced models Dale Batchelor Al Thompson Earl Panner Arthur Batty Harry Kahler Bruce Boyer C Reese Thompson Max Van Ausdal with Mrs John Sanders as program chair. Local decorations included ivy leaves papers butterflies fans and moss adorned items while attendants wore Oriental kimonos and flower arrangements by Mrs Austin Peltier. Musicians included Mickey Schleicher from Vandenberg AFB performing classical pieces and The Electric Tonsils providing rock and roll pantomime.
