Frost aims to fund social programs in county budget
George Barnes opened the Beneficial Finance office in Vandenberg Village to manage a new fully computerized facility. The Board of Supervisors approved a 158,239 contract with Jamieson Construction for the Laguna County Sanitation District effluent system, with Part I awarded now. Supervisor Frost seeks about 500,000 for a social programs contingency in FY1974 funded by anticipated federal revenue sharing of about 7.85 million, with a May 30 public review of 38 projects totaling 7,297,106. Frost pushes CAC funding to preserve social services and opposes a proposed 2 million north county jail project as excessive. detoxification shifts may reduce jail populations.
