Clark Shaughnessy dies at 78 famed Tformation innovator
Clark Shaughnessy, credited with reviving the Tformation and guiding Stanford to an undefeated 1940 Rose Bowl season, died at 78 in Santa Monica. A former Minnesota fullback, he later coached the Los Angeles Rams and advised George Halas of the Chicago Bears. Funeral services are planned for Wednesday.
