759 to graduate from AHC

Allan Hancock College will graduate 759 students with Associate Arts and Associate Science degrees at the end of the 1971 academic year on June 3. Dr. William S. Banowsky of Pepperdine University will deliver the commencement address in the college pavilion.

Funny tax bill shocks senator and tax board

Sacramento reports Sen. Lou Cusanovich received a state income tax bill for 3.618 million dollars plus daily penalties. He called it funny and noted Governor Reagan paid nothing. The Franchise Tax Board apologized, saying a computer error caused the blunder.

Lompoc panel backs plan to end park land pact

The Lompoc Parks and Recreation Commission approved a proposed resolution to terminate the agreement with the State Division of Highways for 323 acres of Santa Ynez River Park land including Route 1 right of way.
