Supreme Court orders review for Hoffa and Clay eavesdropping claims
The Supreme Court ruled that James R. Hoffa and Cassius Clay are entitled to lower court review of illegal federal eavesdropping claims. The decision follows the March 10 ruling requiring disclosure of government evidence obtained by wiretaps. The Court also ordered rehearings in about 13 related cases and rejected a government appeal to overturn the March 10 ruling.
