State panel may revise need for Santa Barbara judge

The State Judicial Council staff report arguing little need for a seventh superior court judge in Santa Barbara County rests on faulty data. Administrator Raymond D. Johnson said the juvenile court referee is counted as a full time judge but serves in a part time role. Johnson and county clerk J. E. Lewis told the Board of Supervisors the staff report will be corrected soon.

Nixon and Trudeau Confer on ABM Talks at White House

Eisenhower in guarded condition after severe heart failure
