Allan Hancock College to host Unique Fair on campus grounds
Allan Hancock College schedules a two day Vocational Technical Fair to help the public contact health and health care resources. Agencies include I Care Center American Cancer Society Santa Maria V D E Committee along with many medical dental and allied programs and exhibits. The event runs 6 to 9 p m Thursday April 18 and 9 am to 2 pm Friday April 19 in the Hancock sports pavilion. Admission is free and information booths will offer tours films and demonstrations from many local organizations and colleges.

April Gymkhana Set by Lompoc Valley Riders on Sunday
The Lompoc Valley Riders host the April Gymkhana at LaSalle Canyon Arena this Sunday April 21 starting 9 30 a m with the Keyhole Race. Events include two Man Relay Rescue Harry Scurry Cloverleaf Barrels Speed Barrels and a Novice Cloverleaf Barrel Race in two age groups 15 and under 16 and over. In Frampton England farmer Les Toole devoured 12 pounds of baby eels in under a minute to win the elver eating world title. His 12 year old son Billy captured the children’s sausage eating contest. Thieves broke into a London factory and stole the burglar alarm system over the weekend, police reported.
