Suspect enters plea in alleged liquor-store robbery
Samuel Valdez 19 pleaded not guilty to robbery and assault with a deadly weapon in Santa Barbara Superior Court. A 17-year-old from Santa Maria and Valdez were arrested in Orcutt after two men tried to rob Jansson's Liquor at 500 W Ocean Ave. Axel Jansson owner was clubbed but recovered. Valdez bail set at 3125 and he awaits hearings on release.
