LOVARC Story Highlights Lompoc Retarded Children Program
The Lompoc Valley Association for Retarded Children presented at the Quota Club with Pam Hilderbrand and Henry Marshall detailing LOVARC a ten year effort now a learning school at 123 North D Street. The program emphasizes sensory motor training language development self help and socialization for 11 children aged 18 months to five with support from Tri Counties Regional Center and Pacific State Hospital consultants. An open house is planned for April with public invitation.

John Moore and Mark Quesnel earned Life Scout ranks at a Court of Honor by Troop 103 at Clarence Ruth School. Moore also received Star rank, while Tenderfoot was awarded to Lester Bonchetti and Kip Sharpe. Merits went to Moore DeVaux Norcutt Blocker Boncietti, and camping stripes, year pins, and participation stripes were presented to multiple scouts.
