Two Carpinteria Men Die In Highway 1 Crash
Two young Carpinteria men died when a truck they rode in overturned on Highway 1 near Jalama Road at about 10 30 p m. John Sprout 22 died at the scene Michael Gilbo 19 or 20 died at Marian Hospital Santa Maria. Guy Goldsmith 21 from Carpinteria was jailed on manslaughter charge with 2500 bail after the vehicle he drove was reported stolen.
