Guide Dogs for the Blind launches Santa Barbara drive

The Santa Barbara County membership drive for Guide Dogs For The Blind Inc. was announced by president Mrs. Pierpont M. Hamilton. The nonprofit school has trained over 1900 blind individuals since 27 years ago, including 23 county residents. a new dormitory will be finished by December and the kennel complex was completed in 1968. Donations support month-long in residence training at no cost to students and are tax deductible through local treasurer William K. Scrumgard at United California Bank in Santa Barbara.

Japan protests mark ninth anniversary against treaty
