Stranded climbers at Mount Rainier aid pursuit by rescue team
Five experienced climbers were stranded on a steep rocky rib at about 12 000 feet of Mount Rainier. A four man rescue team reached the 9 500 foot level by Coast Guard helicopter and an all night ascent began. Up to 15 more climbers were planned to be flown in for the operation.

Nervous wait at UC Berkeley as lab experiment threatens blast

Mission Hills Scouts Derby Road Closure Approved

County advances war on disease mosquitoes with federal aid
