Weather Underground bombs Gulf Building in Pittsburgh
A Weather Underground claim of responsibility describes the Gulf Oil attack as an assault on Africa policies. The blast on the 29th floor caused windows to shatter and office damage with no injuries. Police noted a similar but separate threat at the Chamber of Commerce building. A later FBI note cited an eight-page document found in a phone booth.
