Moore's Department Store in Lompoc marks its 77th anniversary this week. Founded shortly after the town, it remains the oldest continuously operated mercantile firm in the area and the largest complete line department store in Santa Barbara County. Owned by Howard and Ernest Moore, the business has stayed in the same family since G. W. Moore founded it.
