Veterans join Raiders camp amid players strike

Ken Stabler Pete Banaszak and Tony Cline reported to the Oakland Raiders training camp crossing the picket line. Six veterans are now in camp joining Jim Otto Fred Biletnikoff and Jimmy Warren who arrived earlier. Vic Washington, first 49er regular to report, said he acted alone and expected a quick settlement as San Francisco acquired tight end Tom Mitchell from Baltimore for two draft choices.

The Lompoc Babe Ruth 14 15 year olds played the Northern California Southern Section final today at 2 p m against San Leandro or Lodi. If Lompoc loses a second game would follow immediately and KNEZ radio planned to broadcast the tiebreaker.
