Sweetland Completes Institute for Organization Management
Earle E. Sweetland, executive manager of the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce, finished a five day Institute for Organization Management at the University of Santa Clara. The program, run by the Chamber of Commerce of the United States, offers progressive levels and 27 hours of curriculum. This was Sweetland’s third Institute since becoming chamber manager in December 1971.

A two- car collision on Highway 101 near Gaviota Village left two drivers seriously injured. Terry Fenton Ice escaped injury in the crash that also involved Werner Gumprecht and Kurt Shaffer, with all three cars sustaining heavy damage. Ice, Gumprecht, and Shaffer were named in CHP reports.
