Federal inmates take hostage at Florence center
Four inmates at the Florence Federal Detention Center seized a guard late Monday and demanded to see their attorneys. The guard was taken hostage before 10 p.m. in an apparent escape attempt. the inmates then fled to a dormitory with 29 residents. FBI noted no violence beyond the initial event and said attorneys were en route.

Adell offers 50 000 reward for kidnapped son
Retired Detroit industrialist Robert Adell announced a fifty thousand dollar reward for the return of his 16 year old son Lawrence Adell who vanished June 1 after leaving a Palm Springs coffee shop.
