Trailer Club Outing at Morro Bay Draws Nine Trailers

The Lompoc Travel Trailer Club held a July weekend at Bay Pines Trailer Park Morro Bay with nine trailers and many members including Homer Brady Lee Brady and other couples. A seafood and steak dinner at Breakers Restaurant replaced the usual potluck with guests Paul Newman Eunice Davis the Parkers and Darrell Parker. Sunday arrivals included Mike Fred Smith and Bob Jauncey as new members. Weather was fair and warm with hiking swimming and cards enjoyed.

Tres Condados Girl Scouts plan La Purisima program

The Tres Condados Girl Scout Council plans a summer program for girls aged six to 17 from August 5 to 9 at La Purisima Mission. Titled La Purisima Mission Madness, the event offers crafts and activities to learn the Mission's history with cooperation from the California Parks Department.

Garden Club July 30 Barbecue Meeting In Lompoc

The Garden Section of the Lompoc Community Womens Club will meet Tuesday July 30 at 12:30 p.m. at 634 N First St home of Mrs Elaine Carlson. A hamburger barbecue will be featured. Call Mrs Carlson or Mrs Geneva Dillehay for instructions on what to bring. Afterward a meeting will choose next year’s section chairman.

Three Lompoc youths complete royal ranger camp training

Three Lompoc youths Tom Adams Greg Froelick and Jim Cruse finished junior leadership training at Hemet California’s Royal Ranger Camp. The program trains older boys to lead younger outposts and covers camping cooking and wilderness survival. Outpost 207 of First Assembly hosts meetings at 213 North J St with commanders Dan Gamblin Ron Root and Lonnie Selstad.
