CofC appoints new board and committee chairs
Newly elected Chamber of Commerce President John Martin announced the full board and committee assignments for one year. Appointees include Lt. Col. W G Alloway as military representative, Harley A. Craig as highway chair, Harry J. Crompe as governmental affairs co chair, Bill Leary as military affairs chair, Richard J. Meier as retail division chair, and James M. Kenna as Flower Festival co chair with John H. Larsson named Flower Festival chair. Seven convicts shot in escape at Philippine Penitentiary
