Santa Barbara’s Casa Tour set for July 27

Santa Barbara’s tenth annual Casa Tour returns with four historic adobes showcasing Mission to 1875 California architecture. Special exhibits at the city historical museum complement the sites. Organized by the Women’s Projects Committee of the Santa Barbara Historical Society, the event runs 12 noon to 4 30 p m and features portraits, sketches, and maritime desks from the era.

Travel talk and adobe tour at Lompoc Chamber event

Mrs. Dorothy McKeon will discuss Glimpses of the Orient at the Lompoc Chamber of Commerce Women’s Division luncheon. By-laws were read for club approval, with plans for officer installation August 21. Tours include historic adobes with Chumash artifacts and a museum exhibit. A newborn Jean-Paul Beauchesne born June 10 weighs 7 pounds 1 ounce.

Reenlistment Party for Parents Without Partners Honors Members

P W P held a military themed reenlistment party at Mrs. Verna Hart's home on Third Street. Members received medals including distinguished service cross, bronze star, purple heart, infantry and O S S awards, and a lieutenant colonel promotion medal. Charlotte Benton and Stella Reed visited Washington from July 8 to 12 for the Quota Club International anniversary.
