Board to decide on open burning decision delayed

The Board of Supervisors could overrule the Rules and Regulations Committee on a proposed amendment to the County Air Pollution Control District rules. A public hearing on open burning for right-of-way clearings in north county has been continued to July 9. Supporters say burning is more practical than dumps, while opponents urge clean air protections.

Second rabies case reported in Santa Barbara County
