Farm wholesale prices surge in June as farm goods soar
Wholesale prices rose 2.4 percent in June the steepest monthly gain in over 22 years reflecting record farm product costs led by hay seeds and oilseeds up 23.4 percent grains 19.1 percent and eggs 16.3 percent. Livestock and poultry posted smaller increases while overall prices climbed 47 percent in the past year per BLS.
