English luncheon at surprise baby shower for Mrs Arthur Smith

Tres Condados Girl Scout Council Receives 3500 Grant

The Tres Condados Girl Scout Council announced a $3,500 grant from the California Community Foundation of Los Angeles. Funds will repair the swimming pool at Camp Tecuya near Mt. Pinos in the Los Padres National Forest. The council serves 10,000 girls across Ventura Santa Barbara and San Luis Obispo counties and is a United Way agency.

Orchid market to receive official valuation in county report

Westmont receives 25000 Kresge grant for campus fixturing

Westmont College reports a 25000 dollar Kresge Foundation challenge grant to fund furnishings for the Murchison Physical Education Complex and Voskuyl Library. An additional 50000 dollars was raised by year end to meet grant conditions, with the Alumni Association pledging 10000 dollars. Construction on the campus addition began in December 1967 and the gym opened for the Warriors home opener.
