A mass of water from the Santa Ynez River flows to Ocean Park Lagoon and empties into the Pacific. Officials estimate thousands of acre feet are lost to the sea each heavy rain season. Observers include Janell Janet and Dawn Sewall, daughters of Mr and Mrs Mike Sewall.
Tornado like winds and heavy rain last night damaged Rev William Dirks mobile home at Mountain View Trailer Court 610 E Pine. An aluminum 40 foot awning was peeled away and collapsed two trailers over. The Rev and Mrs Dirks were at home with no injuries. damage estimate about 500 dollars.
