Beattie Chairs County Board as 1969 Term Begins

Fourth District Supervisor Francis H. Beattie of Lompoc received the gavel to become chairman for 1969, succeeding Curtis Tunnell who heads the County Water Agency this year. First District’s George H. Clyde is vice chairman and head of the Flood Control District, starting a second four year term. Daniel G. Grant of Goleta Valley begins his third four year term and has near perfect attendance, missing only one or two meetings in eight years.
