Clyde to not seek reelection as County Supervisor
County Supervisor George H. Clyde, longtime First District member from Montecito, announced he will not run in the June 1972 primary. After eight years in office, he said he wants to pursue other interests and give potential candidates time to decide. Clyde succeeded Bradbury and had been reelected in 1968. He plans no other elective run after retirement.
