Quebec FLQ suspects held for Laporte kidnap murder trial
Four FLQ members Jacques Rose Paul Rose Francis Simard and Bernard Lortie faced formal charges for the kidnapping and murder of Quebec Labor Minister Pierre Laporte last fall. They were ordered to appear in court to set a trial date while a coroner's inquest revealed Simard's unsigned statement claiming the Rose brothers strangled Laporte with his religious medal chain on October 17 after his kidnapping on October 10.
