The Jack Jazinski Family Fund has provided a washing machine for eight family members whose belongings were ruined by January floods. A retiring Vandenberg AFB sergeant funded the machine, but fund officials warn that donations are insufficient and urge the public to send contributions to Bank of America. The Jazinski family, formerly of Douglas Avenue, now rents at 532 St St, faces monthly debts including $700 for housing and $221 for tires and gas. Money can be mailed or delivered to Bank of America, with checks made out to the Jack Jazinski Family Fund.
Local physicians estimate 16 to 40 patient visits daily with 2 312 hospital admissions in 1968. Only 14 full time doctors remain, mostly general practitioners, amid calls for more internists and GPs. Specialists scarce as base population shifts away.

The site now sits mostly in 20 acre zones with some five acre zoning. The Santa Ynez Valley Planning Committee backed the proposal as staff said it conforms with area general plans.
